Visual Basic .NET (2002/2003) Programming Tutorials

In 2001, Microsoft shook up the Visual Basic programming world with a totally new product - Visual Basic .NET. This product was not a new version of Visual Basic, but a complete revamping. Visual Basic .NET took Visual Basic out of the "toy language" category and put in on a par with the more advanced Visual C++.  With the introduction of Visual Basic .NET, we produced accompanying tutorials to help the beginning and intermediate programmers. There are two versions of Visual Basic .NET - one is simply called Visual Basic .NET and the other is Visual Basic .NET 2003. Our tutorials will work with either version (Where Do I Get Visual Basic .NET?).  Important Note:  Both versions have been replaced by the latest Visual Basic Express 2010 and Visual Basic 2010 (for which we also offer tutorials  here for Visual Basic 2010 Express and here for Visual Basic 2010 Professional Edition).

Our tutorial Visual Basic .NET for Kids was aimed at first time, kid programmers (Ages 10 and up). If you were a beginning high school or adult programmer, then Beginning Visual Basic .NET was for you. Neither of these tutorials required any previous programming knowledge. If you had some programming experience (either with Visual Basic or some other language), you started with Learn Visual Basic .NET.  You can still read about these classic Visual Basic .NET 2002/2003 tutorials at the links provided below.
