Real-World Math Tutorials Chaos in a Real System - A Free Product! In this work (Chaos in a Real System), we model a four bucket version of the Lorenz water wheel - a famous system that exhibits a chaotic nature. Equations modeling the rotational dynamics, frictional effects, and bucket flow characteristics are developed. Then, implementation considerations for solving the equations are presented and some typical results presented. This is an advanced application of mathematics and physics. You should be familiar with differential equations and physical system dynamics to understand the material. The Water Wheel program in our Science Fair product demonstrates the concepts presented here. The notes are presented in Microsoft Word format. To use the notes, download the zip file and extract the file to a desired directory. The resulting file can be opened and read in Word.
