In
response to many requests, we adapted our best-selling VISUAL BASIC 5/6 FOR KIDS for
high school and a
more adult audience. The result is BEGINNING VISUAL BASIC 5/6 (Table of Contents)
- an introduction to computer programming that provides an interactive,
self-paced tutorial to the Visual Basic programming language and
environment. This product was written in 1998 for the absolute beginner - no
programming experience is required, but familiarity with Windows use is
expected. The primary difference between this and the kid's version
is that BEGINNING VISUAL BASIC 5/6 has more high school and adult projects.
We now
offer a newer version of this tutorial called
BEGINNING VISUAL BASIC EXPRESS 2010.
BEGINNING VISUAL BASIC 5/6 is presented using a combination of over 400
pages of notes and actual Visual Basic examples. Ten
"plain-English" lessons explain the Visual Basic toolbox, event
procedures, and many elements of the BASIC computer language. Examples are
used to demonstrate every step in the application building process. The
tutorial also includes several computer projects that illustrate practical
applications of Visual Basic, including loan calculators, graphics
programs, and even a simple video game (Project
Screen Shots)!
